How can we expand opportunities for young people to participate in non-profit programs, social justice, and advocacy work?
Join Seachange Collective for an interactive, 1-day workshop on amplifying the voices and capacities of young people to be agents of change in their local and global communities.
Workshop Overview: Young people’s leadership is increasingly recognized as a critical component of effective civil society. However, all too often, youth voices are tokenized even when they are invited to the decision-making table, around program design and advocacy. How can we change that? Facilitators will guide participants in reflecting on their own experiences in youth engagement work, while exploring strategies for youth participation, and tangible ways to build young people’s capacities to lead action and advocacy.
Who should participate? This is a great workshop for educators, community organizers, youth group leaders, and others seeking to meaningfully engage the next generation in social justice work.
